Call for Writers - Submissions

Only guest posts from members of the Marketing Integrity Society are accepted. Sponsored post opportunities are available–inquire using the main contact form.

Note: MarketingIntegrityLab.com’s blog speaks primarily to marketers, entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, SEO and content agencies, and academics…not so much to consumers directly.

Submission Process

Ensure your membership in the Marketing Integrity Society is active (Again, all guest contributors must be members.) Please start with a thorough proposal. If your article has already been written, feel free to submit it as-is (no proposal needed). Submit your idea through the contact form. Writing Style Guide

  • If you reference services, businesses, technology, or anything else you have a vested interest in, you must disclose it. To ensure objectivity, your article must present “pros and cons” or play “devil’s advocate.”
  • All articles must include a definitions section and a “Key Take-Aways” section at the end. See examples.
  • Carefully cite every piece of research mentioned. To format your references, put the URL in parentheses directly behind the reference. If there are multiple references to the same piece of research, please cite it each and every time. Use of AI must also be cited. If your reference is a paper book (i.e. no URL), please use APA 7 formatting. Example: Vaynerchuk, Gary. (2013). Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook: How to Tell Your Story in a Noisy Social World. Harper Business.
  • Images such as graphs, charts, and infographics are welcome. FYI: they will be reformatted.
  • Subheadings and bullet points are encouraged. Please use academic-oriented terminology in your subheadings: Case Study, Insights, Perspectives, Discourse, Findings, Data, Principles, Thesis, Analysis, Observations, Review, Summary of Finding, Framework.
  • Despite academic preferences, Marketing Integrity Lab’s tone is not your standard overly polite, fluffy “professionalism.” Use your voice. The content here isn’t for everyone…that’s the point. Here’s one of my favorite articles about writing non-stuffy gold for reference: 10 Copy Punch-Ups.
  • There is zero tolerance for sexist or exclusionary language.
  • Write objectively, but relevant and powerful first-person narratives are encouraged.
  • Submit articles as Google Doc links or shares or as .DOCX file attachments.
  • No plagiarism. All published guest posts become the property of MarketingIntegrityLab.com.
